CVRCE campus

C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, also called CVRCE, is an Autonomous engineering and management institution in the Capital City of Odisha, which was established in 1997 under C.V. Raman Group of Institutions. The institute is accredited by NBA. The college certifies to ISO 9001:2000.^[1]

The institute is rated as "A" Grade Engineering college by NAAC^[2] and is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The college is also conferred with autonomous status, first of its kind in the state of Odisha by UGC. CVRCE is placed at 74th Position ,among Engineering Institutes including NITs and IITs, in an all India Ranking carried out by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), an initiative of Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.

It offers a three-year postgraduate degree program in Master of Computer Applications, two year master's degree in MBA and three years B.Tech degree for diploma holders under lateral entry scheme with the approval of AICTE New Delhi, recognized by Govt.of Odisha and affiliated under Biju Patnaik University of Technology. It also offers a 3-year diploma in the following disciplines: Electrical engineering, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication engineering and Computer science engineering. Ranjita institute of hotel management is a sister concern of CVRCE.

Admission procedure

Admission to the undergraduate B.Tech program
Students are admitted through OJEE/JEE(MAIN) National level entrance test. There is provision of lateral entry of 20% of the sanctioned intake for Diploma holders directly to the third semester in their branch of study as per the BPUT guidelines.

Admission to the postgraduate M.Tech program
The student's for postgraduate courses in M.Tech are admitted through the GATE Score.

Admission to the postgraduate MCA and MBA program
The students for post graduation courses in MBA & MCA are admitted through the OJEE, National level entrance examination. Though students of MBA can also be admitted through MAT(Management Aptitude Test) score, which is another national level entrance examination, in India for MBA entrance.

Eligibility: The candidate should have a graduate degree in any stream for MBA.
