Bujesily
Bujesily, (German "Bujesil"), village in western Bohemia, Rokycany District, Plzeň Region of the Czech republic. It is situated 19 km north of Rokycany, 345 m. above sea-level. The village lies on a plateau above the deep valley of Berounka which cuts into the terrain 1 km north of Bujesily. The canyon of Berounka is lined with forest while the area around Bujesily is mostly forestless. Nameless minor water stream drains the area of Bujesily into Berounka forming short and steep lateral valley. Bujesily is accessible by local road linked to the II/232 Rokycany-Kozojedy road in village of Liblín. Settlement of Bujesily is mentioned in 1227 for the first time.[1] Bujesily has always been a small agricultural village, with farming replaced partially by tourism recently.
Demography
As to ethnicity Bujesily was traditionally a Czech settlement. The village practically depopulated in 2nd half of 20th century.
