The 23rd District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in central Wisconsin, and is currently composed of parts of Barron, Clark, Chippewa, Dunn, Taylor, Eau Claire, Wood,and Marathon counties. The district area is mostly rural, with the exception of a portion of Eau Claire.[1]
Current elected officials
Terry Moulton is the senator serving the 23rd district. He was first elected to the senate in 2010, and was re-elected in 2014. Before serving as a senator, he held an office in the State Assembly from 2004 to 2008. [2][3]
The area of the 23rd Senate District contains three State Assembly Districts:[4]
- The 67th (represented by Tom Larson)
- The 68th (represented by Kathy Bernier)
- The 69th (represented by Bob Kulp)
The district is also located partly within Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Ron Kind, and partly within Wisconsin's 7th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Sean Duffy. [5]
