Wielichowo [vjɛliˈxɔvɔ] (German Friedrichsthal) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Słupsk, within Słupsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Słupsk and 113 km (70 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany, and Friedrichsthal was part of the village of Groß Brüskow. [2][3] After World War II the area was placed under Polish administration by the Potsdam Agreement under territorial changes demanded by the Soviet Union. Germans fled or were expelled and replaced with Poles expelled from the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union.
The village has a population of 111.
