Turowo [tuˈrɔvɔ] (formerly German Thurow) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Szczecinek, within Szczecinek County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Szczecinek and 144 km (89 mi) east of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1648 the area was part of Duchy of Pomerania, 1648-1945 Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has a population of 950.
