Salthouse, Barrow-in-Furness

Salthouse is an area of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England. It is heavily focused around Salthouse Road which runs through the wards of Risedale and Central Barrow. The area is most noted for being home to the Salthouse Mills (Dixons Forge, Furness Vehicle Dismantlers, Furness Heat Treatment, Furness Joinery, etc) which is still an industrial estate but was once home to Roosecote Raceway (Banger Racing Track). One of the most recognisable features of Salthouse is the Salthouse Pavilion which previously served primarily as a large bingo hall.
