Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre, a Centre of Excellence in cyber law and information technology. The Cyber Law Centre is constituted and crafted with the ambitious objectives to develop professional, expertise and skilled manpower to match with contemporary challenges emerging in relevance with cyber space & cyber security. It will enable legal and technical experts to efficiently regulate and create opportunities to meet economic challenges posed by the rapid technology movement, which is influencing virtually every area of development and social activity.

About RGNCLC

Rajiv Gandhi National Cyber Law Centre, Bhopal is established (year 2006) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India at New Delhi. The institution is first of its kind which deals with Technology and Legal aspects to regulate the cyber space. The purpose of the institution is to deal with new and critical issues relating to various techno-legal aspects of cyberspace through regular as well as distance learning mode. The Institution aims to ensure that its students achieve their highest academic and personal potential. It also aims to give them a firm foundation based upon an understanding of present global requirement.
This institution is affiliated to The National Law Institute University, Bhopal. The Institution offers post-graduate courses in the field of Cyber Law, viz. Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law and Master of Science in Cyber Law and Information Technology.Here the rules and regulation is very tough.university provides all facility to the student.

The Institution is situated in the NLIU campus in the outskirt city of Bhopal. With lush green surroundings and the cool breeze from the nearby Kerwa lake where moderate weather conditions play a pivotal role to create a learning atmosphere.

The Gyan Mandir Library, the heart and soul of NLIU was inaugurated and dedicated to the Nation by the Hon’ble Minister of HRD, Late Mr. Arjun Singh on September 19, 2005. It is a centrally air-conditioned, state-of-the-art building housing a library, a cyber network centre, faculty chambers and class rooms. The library is well equipped with over 30,000 volumes consisting of reference books, back volumes of journals and law reports, current legal periodicals and a wealth of statistical material and rare collections. The students maintain the computerized ‘knowledge management system’ that adds around 5000 student projects to the database annually and aids in disseminating information for research. Photocopying facility is available within the premises. A range of online access like lexis-nexis, Manupatra and other legal research based software such as SCC Online and Grand Jurix are available for research. More databases on Legal and Humanities and Social Sciences are in the process of addition to the existing array of Electronic Databases. It is in the process of implementing the advances in Information and Communication Technologies and RFID enabled solutions for all its transactions, inventory and resource management. The library has received wide acclaim and recommendation from legal luminaries and experts like Justice G. K. Acquah, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Justice V. S. Malimath, Justice Madan Lokur and Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon.

The Centre houses over a hundred Pentium IV computers with a high-speed 2 MB leased circuit for Internet. It is equipped with projectors and other audiovisual devices. Round the clock Internet access is available. Apart from this, the University campus is Wi – Fi enabled with 18 ‘hot spots’ spread across the campus providing users with instant Internet access on their personal computers and laptops. The Centre would soon have its own video conferencing facility connecting other institutions in India and abroad, to establish a Virtual Classroom and E-library in the Centre.

How to Reach

The University is well connected by roads and is 12 km from Habibganj Railway Station, 13 km from Bhopal Junction Railway Station . The nearest airport is Raja Bhoj Airport.
