Pandak is one of the 44 union councils, administrative subdivisions, of Haripur District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.[1]
Pandak is said to be the capital of Haripur. Pandak is one of the most important residential areas of Haripur as it is situated very near to the city. The most used way to go inside the Pandak is via G.T. Road.
Location
The village of Pandak is opposite to Ameer Khan Silkway Plaza Haripur.
There are two ways to go to Pandak from G.T. Road. The first is from Taloker Road opposite Silkway Plaza; the second is from Masjid opposite I-Waamz Cash & Carry.. Pandak is divided into two mohallahs: Upper Pandak and Lower Pandak.
Features
- The railway line crosses from this village. After that railway line there is a big graveyard which covers a lot of area and leads to Soka, Mohallah Eidgah and a railway station.
- Plots and houses are very expensive, here almost equal to the rates in Haripur city. Prices range from three to four lakh per marla of land area.
- Rents of rented homes are also very costly.
- According to caste and family, every kind of people live here, including Tareens, Gujjars, Mughals, Awans, Jadoons, and Tanolis.
