Numan is a town and Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria. The port town lies on the Benue River. The Predominant ethnic group in the town are the Bwatiye (Bachama) people who have a reputation of being unconquered warriors in all their history.[1] The town is the location of the Adamawa State Polytechnic.[2]
