NASL Final 1969 was the North American Soccer League's championship decision of the 1969 season. With only five teams in the league, no championship event was held that year. In a close finish, the NASL trophy was awarded to the Kansas City Spurs, the team with the most points at the end of the season. The season was completed on August 31, 1969.[1][2]

Background

The team with the most points in the regular season was crowned league champion. Due to the NASL's unusual points system, this was not the team with the best won-loss percentage. The Kansas City Spurs posted a record of 10 wins, 2 losses, and 4 ties, for 110 points to claim the title, while the Atlanta Chiefs posted a superior record of 11 wins, 2 losses, and 3 ties, but for only 109 points.
