McClurg, Missouri

McClurg is an unincorporated community in extreme northeastern Taney County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Supplemental Route W about three miles (5 km) east of Brownbranch or twenty miles (32 km) northeast of Forsyth. The community was founded in 1872, and is named after Missouri governor Joseph Washington McClurg (1818–1900), who served from 1869 to 1871.

McClurg is sparsely populated, consisting mostly of farmland and a few scattered owners. It is, however, located next to a portion of Mark Twain National Forest, and the Glade Top Trail National Scenic Byway, which attracts an amount of local visitors.

McClurg is part of the Branson, Missouri Micropolitan Statistical Area.
