Matthew 19 is the nineteenth chapter in the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament section of the Christian Bible.[1] The book containing this chapter is anonymous, but early Christian tradition uniformly affirmed that Matthew composed this Gospel.[2] Jesus continues his final journey to Jerusalem ministering through Perea. The narrative can be divided into the following subsections:
- Leaving Galilee and entering Judea (19:1–2)
- Teaching about divorce (19:3–9)
- On Celibacy (19:10-12)
- Little Children Blessed (19:13-15)
- Jesus and the rich young man (19:16–30)
