Prince concert chronology

Love 4 One Another Charities Tour was a short American tour by Prince promoting his charity known as "Love 4 One Another". The concerts contained a mix of songs that were a transition between the Gold Tour and the upcoming Jam of the Year Tour, incorporating much more "Prince" material into the sets, as well as new material from Emancipation.

History

Most of the long-standing New Power Generation were let go in 1996, and new musicians were brought in as replacements. The only remainining member was Morris Hayes, although former Game Boyz dancer Kirk Johnson was brought back into the fold to play drums. The tour served as a warmup tour for this band before the lengthy Jam of the Year Tour.[1][2]

Band lineup

Typical set list

Some songs that made occasional appearances were "Partyman", "Somebody's Somebody", "The Ride", a Carlos Santana medley, "The Holy River", "Condition of the Heart", "Baby I'm a Star" / "1999" and "Little Red Corvette"
