An Indonesian Television Awards, or simply ITA, an annual awards were honour to talent who recognizes excellence in television industry.[1] The annual awards were first held in 2016 and presented by Roy Morgan Research and Provetic Indonesia. The annual award was made due to for the 2015 Panasonic Gobel Awards results are quite disappointing for Indonesian television public. However, ITA hasn't made to match the Panasonic Gobel Awards. The Indonesian Television Awards is a similarity issue with Indonesian Movie Awards (for film which established in 2007, due to quite disappointing of result by public).

History

The Jakarta-based PT. Roy Morgan International, an Australian independent agency where had already in Indonesia since 2004, was collaboration to established the Indonesian Television Awards for conducting a survey to an TV viewers to know that became favorite viewers seen from "top of mind" (which first mind in spontaneously) in local television program. For the survey had conducted through face-to-face interviewers from house to house where selected in randomly on 17 Indonesian provinces and the results will have some of most memorable program from each categories to be nominated in the annual television awards.

Voting system

Audience engagement is critical to determine the recipient of the Most Popular in the annual ceremony awards, through a vote of social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as through the website Indonesian Television Awards.com. For calculation & validates results of voting, had conducted by independent institutions Provetic. The audit of the voting result was also conducted by independent auditors.
