Gary Hetherington (born in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England) is an English former rugby league player and coach who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League.[1]
He played for Wakefield Trinity, Leeds, Huddersfield, Sheffield Eagles and Whitehaven. He played as a hooker and also as a second-row. He coached the Sheffield Eagles between and 1984 and 1996.[1] Prior to taking over as CEO at Leeds, Gary Hetherington was owner, General Manager, player and Team Manager at the Sheffield Eagles.[1]
He was President of the Rugby Football League in 2004.[1]
His wife Kath was President of the Rugby Football League in 1995.[1]
