Ganeer Township is one of seventeen townships in Kankakee County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,215 and it contained 1,411 housing units.[1]

History

Ganeer Township came into being on February 15, 1859. The township was excised from land in Momence Township.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 40.25 square miles (104.2 km2), of which 39.92 square miles (103.4 km2) (or 99.18%) is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 km2) (or 0.84%) is water.[1]
