Mount Isa is an electoral district in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in the state of Queensland, Australia.
It is located in the outback of the far west of the state and covers an area of 570,502 sq kilometres.[1] As of the last State General Election (2015) it had 19,119 registered electors a decrease from 19,170 in 2009[2]
The district takes its name from the mining city of Mount Isa, which holds the great majority of the electorate's population. Most of the electorate is virtually unpopulated.
