ESPN+ (ESPN Más) is an ESPN channel based in Miami broadcasting to nine countries of South America. Its programming is mostly football, tennis and rugby union related. It also broadcasts some shows about leagues of different sports.
In 2007, ESPN+ covered all matches of the 2007 Rugby World Cup; select matches were called on-site.
ESPN+ shows live MotoGP races, and selected IndyCar Series races. It also complements ESPN's coverage of the four Grand Slam of tennis.
ESPN+ coverage
As of July 2012, four separate versions of ESPN+ exist:
- ESPN+ Argentina, which does not have rights to Argentine Primera División football, but has the rights to the Brazilian Série A football.
- ESPN+ Sur, which serves Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Perú and Uruguay and has rights to 1st and 2nd choice matches from the Argentine Primera División and the Brazilian Série A. This feed also airs many of the matches and championships played by the Argentina rugby team ("Los Pumas").
- ESPN+ Andina, which serves Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela, has rights to 1st and 2nd choice matches from the Argentine Primera División, the Brazilian Série A. This feed also airs many MLB matches due to the popularity of baseball in this countries, as well as cycling events like the Tour de France, unlike ESPN+ Sur, where this events are replaced with taped programming and/or rugby events.
- ESPN+ Brasil, which like ESPN+ Argentina, does not have the rights to Argentine Primera División football, but also does not have the rights to the Brazilian Série A football.
