Dao is a fourth class municipality in the province of Capiz, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 31,911 people.[3]

History
In 1957 the barrio of Nasuli-B was renamed to Santo Tomas.[4]

Notable people
- Jocelyn "Joc-Joc" Bolante - former Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Agriculture and alleged mastermind of the 2004 Fertilizer Fund Scam. He ran for Governor of Capiz in the 2010 Philippine General Election but lost to re-electionist Governor Victor Tanco.
