Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve

Coordinates: 36°56′8″N 82°9′18″W / 36.93556°N 82.15500°W / 36.93556; -82.15500 Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve is a Natural Area Preserve located in Russell County, Virginia. It preserves a series of important dolomite barrens, rare plant species, and three rare species of insect. Its 1,070 acres (4.3 km²) lie within the Clinch River Valley, and contain various grasses, such as indiangrass, big bluestem, and little bluestem.
