Zoug is a small town in the disputed area of Western Sahara. It is controlled by the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and is claimed by Morocco as a rural commune in Aousserd Province of the region of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab. At the time of the 2004 census, the commune had a total population of 833 people living in 149 households.[1]
