Zamina Begum (Persian: زینب خاتون, translit. Zaynib Khatoon) was the wife of the first President of Afghanistan, Mohammed Daoud Khan. She was born in 1917, married Daoud in 1933, and was killed during the Saur Revolution in 1978. [1] She was buried in Kabul along with her husband and other family members in 2009. [2]
