Zachistka
Zachistka (Russian: зачистка) is an unofficial Russian term for a "mopping-up operation". In English, "zachistka" is used exclusively to designate the ethnic cleansing operations by Russian forces, particularly in Chechnya.
Operations
Alkhan-Kala

The Alkhan-Kala operation was a week-long military zachistka by the Russian special forces in Chechnya starting on June 25, 2001.
Tsotsin-Yurt

The Tsotsin-Yurt operation was a four-day zachistka starting December 30, 2001, accompanied by armed clashes in the large village of Tsotsin-Yurt south of the Chechen capital Grozny.
Borozdinovskaya

The ethnic Chechen unit Battalion Vostok of the Spetsnaz of GRU carried out this zachistka on the ethnic minority village of Borozdinovskaya in Chechnya near the border with the republic of Dagestan on June 4, 2005.
