Zacarías Supisiche (1843-1897) was an Argentine military officer, who participated in the Paraguayan War, Conquest of the Desert[1] and the Revolution of the Park.[2]

Biography

Zacarías Supisiche was born in Buenos Aires. In 1865, he served as Álferez in the Paraguayan war.[3] During the Conquest of the Desert, Supisiche had been promoted to Lieutenant colonel, the commander of the 3rd Battalion Infantry.[4]

In 1882 Supisiche was promoted to Colonel, being part in the expedition of the Chaco, led by Benjamín Victorica in 1884.[5] A year later was promoted to General de brigada.

The General Zacarías Supisiche had been the commander of troops loyal to the government, during the days of 26, 27 and 28 July 1890, in the civic-military revolution against President Miguel Ángel Juárez.[6]
