Yasukazu Hamada (浜田 靖一 Hamada Yasukazu, born October 21, 1955) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Futtsu and graduate of Senshu University he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1993.
In the Cabinet of Prime Minister Taro Aso, appointed on 24 September 2008, Hamada was appointed as Minister of Defense. This was Hamada's first Cabinet position.[1]
