William Leslie was a Scottish footballer, he played as forward in Lomas Athletic Club,[1] and the Argentina national football team.[2]
Career
Leslie began his career in Lomas Athletic Club, team where he had won the first division championship 1893,[3] and it had been the top scorer with 7 goals.[4] Between 1900 and 1904 Leslie played in Quilmes Atlético Club.[5]
In 1901 William Leslie played in the Argentine team, who had played his first match against the Uruguay team. The match was played on May 16, 1901, in Montevideo, with a score 3-2 in favor of Argentina. The Argentine goals were converted by William Leslie, Charles Dickinson and James Oswald Anderson.[6]
