Walter Swennen
Walter Swennen (born 1946 in Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian artist who lives and works in Antwerp.
Walter Swennen is a Belgian painter, born in Brussels (Forest) in 1946. Originately trained as a printmaker, Swennen began his artistic career with poetry and artistic happenings. His practice is imbued with his former linguistic experiments, allowing his work to gain a very personal semiotic quality.
He regularly exhibits at home and abroad, in 2013, the WIELS Contemporary Art Center in Brussels formed an important Retrospective of his works.[1]
