Vorbeck is a municipality in the Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
Another Vorbeck village is some 6 km east from Schwerin. It seems that surname "Vorbeck/Vorbek" in XIII c. was mainly in north-east Germany, Pomerania and East Prussia, spreading east to Vilnius of Lithuania and even to Riga. The oldest known protoplast of the noble family of that name was Ulryk Vorbek c. 2015-1301 of Wittow of Rugen, Pritsk, Lublew and Drawehn of central Pomerania.
