In this Vietnamese name, the family name is Võ, but is often simplified to Vo in English-language text. According to Vietnamese custom, this person should properly be referred to by the given name Thanh Tùng.
Võ Thanh Tùng (born 26 July 1985) is a Vietnamese Paralympic swimmer.[1][2] He won gold in the men's 50m freestyle S5 at the 2010 Asian Para Games in China.[3] He is seen as a possible medal contender for his nation.[4] He lives in Cần Thơ and had poliomyelitis as a child.[5]
