Vik Grujic is a retired Australian professional mixed martial artist of Serbian descent who formerly competed in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional competitor since 2010, Grujic was also a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia.[1]

Mixed martial arts career

Early career

Grujic made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2009, competing for regional promotions in Australia, before auditioning for TUF: Nations in 2013.

The Ultimate Fighter

On 5 December 2013, it was announced that Grujic had been selected as one of the middleweight fighters representing Australia for The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia. The reality show was led by Patrick Côté and Kyle Noke and premiered in early 2014.[2]

In his first fight, Grujic defeated fellow cast member Luke Harris via TKO.[3]

In the semi-finals, Grujic went on to face the Sheldon Westcott. Westcott won the fight by submission in the first round, with Grujic walking off crying and later posting on Instagram.[4]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Grujic faced Nordine Taleb on 16 April 2015 at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale.[5] Grujic lost the bout via unanimous decision.[6]

Grujic faced Chris Indich on 28 June 2014 at UFC Fight Night 43.[7] Grujic won the fight via TKO in the first round.[8]

Grujic faced Chris Clements on 8 November 2014 at UFC Fight Night 55.[9] Clements won the fight via first round TKO.[10]

Grujic faced Brendan O'Reilly on 10 May 2015 at UFC Fight Night 65.[11] He lost the fight via unanimous decision.[12] Subsequently, Grujic was released from the organisation and has failed to fight again since..[13]
