Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) is an engineering college in Namburu, Pedakakani, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It has a capacity of 840 students for undergraduate engineering programs (B.Tech), 120 students in six Master of Technology programs and 60 students in a Master of Computer Applications program. The B.Tech program is offered in six disciplines: civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering and information technology. Postgraduate programs are offered in computer science and engineering, very-large-scale integration, power electronics, machine drawing and structural engineering.[1]
The college was founded in 2007 by Vasireddy Vidya Sagar. VVIT has become one of the top three engineering colleges of the 200 affiliated with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
It has a placement team, women's hostel, canteen, 40-Mbps Internet connectivity, a 100-kVA rooftop solar plant, a 50-bus fleet, a mineral water plant and indoor and outdoor sports arenas. Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Athena Health Care, Open Text, Tibro, Genpact, Sutherlands, CSS Corporation, Convergys and Apps Associates have recruited VVIT students.[8][9][10][11]
The institution is accredited with 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in March 2016 with a CGPA of 3.09 out of four.[12][13] In addition to the NAAC accreditation, the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Information Technology (IT) departments of the college were recognized by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in June 2016.[14]
Admissions
Undergraduate
Students are admitted to four-year undergraduate programs in two categories: A and B. Category-A seats make up 70 percent of the college's total seats, and are filled through Convener and the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. Category-B seats are filled by the administration through newspaper advertisements.[15][16]

Graduate
Students are also admitted to the two-year graduate programs in two categories: A and B. Category-A seats make up 70 percent of the total. Fifteen percent of the Category-B seats, which are filled by the administration, are available to NRI candidates. MCA seats are filled in the same manner.[16][17]

Library
The college has a computerized library with a large collection of academic, reference and general-interest books. The library subscribes to national and international magazines, journals, periodicals and leading national daily newspapers.[26]

Digital library
The digital library has 34 computer systems with five-Mbps Internet and backup, National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) E-lectures and videos, a developing-library network (DELNET) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Society periodicals. Open-access journals, dissertations, archives and databases are available at library portal.
Canteen and tug shop
A canteen, serving breakfast and lunch, and a tug shop meet student food and stationery requirements.[27]
Other facilities
Other facilities include Wi-Fi, a health centre with a doctor and nurse, [28] a water-purification plant,[29] an enterpreneurial-development center,[30] a 100KW solar-power plant with 400 solar panels,[31] an Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation incubation center and a 50-buses fleet with service to Guntur, Tenali, Vijayawada and other major towns and mandals.
Campus life
Clubs
More than 15 clubs are available[32] for students interested in fields such as animation and graphics, dance, literature, films, music, theatre, sports, politics and cooking.
NCC and NSS
The college's National Cadet Corps wing is made up of a battalion from the 2(A) Armed Squadron for men and the 10(A) Girls Battalion for women.[33] VVIT also has a National Service Scheme division.[34]
Sports and games
The school has facilities for cricket, volleyball, tennikoit, badminton and athletics. Chess, table tennis and carrom are played in the indoor arena.[35]
VIVA and College Day
The annual VIVA festival is usually held in December, with intercollegiate competitions in sports, literature, culture and technology. College Day follows the festival. The 2015 VIVA festival was held on 21 and 22 December. Nearly 5,500 students participated in competitions during the festival, and Vignan University chairman Lavu Rathaiah was the chief guest. College Day followed the festival on 23 December.[36]
