Vasily Vasilyevich Klyukin (born March 3, 1976) is a Russian entrepreneur, architect and designer known for designing World-class towers and skyscrapers.[1][2][3][4] He is also a co-founder of Sovcombank; a Russian commercial bank.[5]
Early life
Born in Moscow, Russia; Vasily grew up from a noble family. His father Vasily Klyukin Sr., is a reputed historian and writer, while his mother, Elena, is a teacher and writer.[5]
Career
In 1996, Klyukin began his banking career with ASB-Agro bank where he served as a cashier for some years.[6] Later on in 2003, he became a co-founder of Sovcombank formerly known as Buycombank.[7]
Klyukin has been a real estate investor since 2007. He develops properties and constructs giant projects. He pioneered the idea of private micro-offices in 2009.[8] He has interest in architecture and design.[9][10] He has designed gigantic towers and skyscrapers such as Nika Towers, Comet Fortune, Cobra Tower, Venus, and others.[1][11][12][13] In 2010, he launched his architectural album titled "Designing Legends".[2][14] Klyukin endorse the idea that the investor and the very city always benefit by venerable landmarks.[15]
Klyukin has interest in space tourism. He paid $1.5 million at amfAR charity gala event for the opportunity to travel to space with the Hollywood Actor Leonardo DiCaprio on board a Virgin Galactic spacecraft.[16][17][18] In 2015, he came up with the concept of helicopter-jet-yacht "Monaco 2050".[5][19][20][21][22][23] He also has interest in sculpture arts.[24] He established the Stars-Bridge group which supports the development of Russian Contemporary Art.[25] In 2013, he organized his debut art exhibition in Russia.[26]
Klyukin is also a writer. In 2015, he released his first fiction book captioned "Collective Mind"; an utopia about people whose society is dominated by Artificial Intelligence empowered with human creativity.[2][27]
Philanthropy
Klyukin is a regular supporter of charity endeavours.[2][28] He was awarded a medal from Duchess Maria Alexandrovna on the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty in recognition of his regular participation in charity activities.[26]
Personal life
Klyukin resides in Monaco alongside his wife Anna Klyukin and three children. He enjoys outdoor adventures at his leisure hours.[26]
