Totally (book series)

Totally[1] (formerly The Knowledge), is a series of books published by the Scholastic Corporation for children as a spin-off of Horrible Histories. The main theme of the series is the accumulation of interesting and informative facts, with each book focusing on a particular domain of human knowledge.[2] The series was limited for sale only in the UK.

The series is written by a group of authors including Terry Deary (author of the Horrible Histories),[3] Nick Arnold (author of the Horrible Science series)[4] and Kjartan Poskitt (author of the Murderous Maths series).

The series was renamed as part of a cover redesign which took place towards the end of the 2000s.

Book Makeover

It appears that Scholastic is slowly reprinting all of the books in The Knowledge category under the Totally category (phasing out The Knowledge category).

Murderous Maths and Foul Football

Two books in The Knowledge series are Murderous Maths and More Murderous Maths . However, Kjartan Poskitt incorporated these two books and many others into their own Murderous Maths series. The first book in the Murderous Maths series but not The Knowledge was called Do You Feel Lucky? and was about probability. Due to this, the first two books don't have The Knowledge logo at the top any more and are now officially part of the Murderous Maths series. To avoid further confusion, Poskitt has recently renamed the two books with more catchy and unique titles.[7] The same sort of incident has occurred with one The Knowledge book known as Foul Football, which has sparked a whole series of its own as well, called Foul Football.
