Thomas George Love (1793-1845) was a British Agent and bookkeeper.[1] He was founder of The British Packet, and Argentine News, and its editor from 1826 to 1845.[2]
Biography
Love was born in London, England (United Kingdom), had arrived at the port of Buenos Aires in 1820 from Cape of Good Hope.[3] In 1825 Thomas George wrote Five years in Buenos Aires (1820-1825), a book where he tells his experiences in the city.[4] In 1826 he creates the newspaper British Packet, edited for the British population in Buenos Aires. After his death took over the newspaper Gilbert Ramsay.[5]
Thomas George Love died in 1845, was buried on November 30, in the British cemetery of Buenos Aires.[6]
