The Amityville Legacy is a 2016 film directed by Dustin Ferguson and co-directed by Mike Johnson starring Julia Farrell, Mark Popejoy, and Colby Coash.
The film takes place 40 years after the original murders in Amityville, New York. The movie opens in Amityville then after the credits picks up in small town Nebraska where a cursed antique toy monkey from the opening scene possesses a father when it is given to him as a birthday gift, one similar to what he had as a child. The movie pays homage to older Amityville films from the original series, in particular It's About Time, A New Generation, and Amityville Dollhouse.
Executive producers on the film were Jake Brokoven and Matthew DiGirolamo.
