Tata Manza is next generation sedan[1] from the Indian car company Tata Motors Limited. The Tata Manza is also known as The Club Class Sedan.[2] There are eight variants available currently, four each in petrol and diesel. The diesel variants are LS,LX, VX,& EX.[3] The Manza comes with a 1.3 litre Q-Jet diesel engine and 1.4 litre SF petrol engine.

History

Manza was first launched on 14 October 2009.[4] It was made available in 4 variants namely Aqua, Aura, Aura ABS and Elan, Aqua being the entry level variant and Elan being the top most variant. In October 2012, Manza was re-launched as Manza Club Class.The new Manza variants also got new nomenclature.[3] Formerly recognized as Aqua, the base shape of the car along with the added chrome bits and new fabric for the seat covers, were reasons to rechristen it to LS. The Aura was rechristened to LX with AC controls that can be electrically operated. These features are also available on the VX variant whose original name was the Aura ABS. The ABS feature is additional to the VX variant. VX variant also comes with a touchscreen navigation system. The EX variant, formerly known as Elan, has automatic climate control and a contrasting shade for the roof of the car in addition to the features from the lower variants.[5]

Some of the features included an uplifted look for the exteriors, prolonged headlights and an uplifted façade. The new Manza Club Class has a 15-inch eight spoke alloy wheels.[6] Amongst the top variants of the Tata Manza, the EX variant, erstwhile Elan trim, has a wheelbase of 2520 mm and a turning radius of 5.1 metres.[2]

Interiors

The Manza has dual tone interiors. The top variant comes with black and plum tones. It has an advanced multimedia system along with a touchscreen display and Bluetooth connectivity. The car can accommodate three adults in the rear[7] and has 460 litres of boot space.[2]

The Manza has features such as air conditioner with heater, power windows, central locking and electrically adjustable external rear view mirrors.

Exteriors

The Manza Club Class comes with a contrast coloured roof. It has alloy wheels and chrome inserts in hood, bumper rub rails and door rub rails.[8]

Tech specifications

Manza Club Class is available in Q-Jet 90 PS and SF 90 PS diesel and petrol engines respectively, that have been sourced from Fiat.[4] The diesel variant has an engine capacity of 1248 CC while the petrol variant has a capacity of 1368 CC. The diesel engine can produce a power of 90 PS @ 4000 RPM while the petrol engine can produce 90 PS @ 6000 RPM. The fuel tank capacity is 44 litres. It is available in various shades of black, such as Infinity Black and various trim levels EX, LS, LX and VX.[9]

The two engine versions of the car that have been certified by ARAI are the Q-Jet diesel with a mileage of 21.02 km/l and the Safire petrol with a mileage of the 14.5 km/l.[4]

The Manza is equipped with power steering, anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution.
