Education
The village has a good facility for education. For primary education, there are two schools: one for girls and other for boys. For higher education village has Govt High School that provides education up to Secondary level.
Earlier the village had schooling up to 8th class only. But it was extended up to 10th level in 2003. 2003–04 batch was the first 9th class batch in this school.
Higher education has always been a problem for not only this village but for all the villages of this area. After 12th class, students have to travel long distances for their education. Boys manages somehow but it becomes very difficult for girls to travel 50 km daily. This is the only reason that girls rarely get chance to pursue higher education in this area.
A good Arts college as well as technical institute is much needed in this area. It is a long-time demand of people from this village but the government has never considered it.
Religion
Most of the natives of this village are Sikhs, although there are also few Brahmans. A Gurudwara Sahib is there at north end of the village.
