Tarrafal Futebol Clube also known as Tarrafal Futebol Clube de Monte Trigo outside Santo Antão (other Tarrafals in Cape Verde have no club starting with the name Tarrafal) is a football (soccer) club that plays in the Santo Antão Island League South Zone in Cape Verde. It is based in the town of Tarrafal de Monte Trigo in the western part of the island of Santo Antão. The club area includes Monte Trigo, though that village is in another parish named Santo André. It is the westernmost football (soccer) club in the whole of Africa (the mainland and the islands).

The football (soccer field) is in Tarrafal de Monte Trigo but its games are played in west of Porto Novo.

History

The club was created in the 2010s and became registered in mid 2013 and became the recent club to be registered into the South Zone, eighteenth overall. Their first appearance was in the 2013-14 season, their first ever goal was scored on December 14, 2014, the season's first goal over Inter and also won their very first match, Tarrafal's second match was their very first draw and a scoreless one with Marítimo. The club started at the good position of second and never succeeded above, with exceptions remained until round 12, the club finished third which was their best position with 19 points, the club also had 5 wins, 4 draws and scored only 9 goals. In the following season, the club finished fifth with 10 points and had 3 wins and a draw, the club scored more goals numbering 18. The club's recent goal was scored on April 17 in a match with Fiorentina. Tarrafal de Monte Trigo were better in the 2015-16 season as the club finished 4th with 4 wins and 3 draws, the club scored yet again 18 and ginished with 14 points.

In 2013, the club first appeared in the South Zone's opening tournament then the cup for the next three seasons.

The club withdrawn in mid 2016 due to financial concerns and along with Marítimo did not participate in the 2016-17 season.

So far, the club has played 36 matches and has a grand total of 44 points, 12 wins, 8 draws and 16 losses, it also has 42 goals scored. Of which two thirds are scored away and a third at home, the home and away draws are even at four, it also has ten home losses over seven away losses.
