Stratford Square Mall is a shopping mall opened in 1981, located just off Army Trail Road and Gary Avenue in Bloomingdale, Illinois, a northwestern suburb of Chicago. The 1,300,000-square-foot (120,000 m2) mall currently has five anchor tenants including Carson Pirie Scott, Kohl's (former MainStreet), Macy's (former Marshall Field's), Sears, and Burlington Coat Factory (former Montgomery Ward).[2]
Feldman Mall Properties
Since being acquired by Feldman Mall Properties in early 2005, the mall has been scheduled to undergo many renovations in order to raise its status back to an A-Class Mall. Feldman Mall Properties, based in New York, still owns the mall in spite of experiencing financial difficulties in 2008.[3] In October 2011, the fountain in the central square next to the food court was replaced by a carousel. But now the carousel is located in the lower-level Burlington Coat Factory wing.
New Additions
Cinemark Century Theater was opened July 4, 2007 after Feldman Properties renovated the existing 4-screen movie theater. The movie theater now has a mega-sized all digital 16-screen experience, featuring a cappucino bar, marble flooring, and stadium seating. [4]The theater is located upstairs by Kohl's.
Shortly after, Red Robin was added to the complex. At first it was only a small indoor restaurant, but around late October 2014, Red Robin officials stated their plan to remodel their restaurant to introduce their new Gourmet Burgers and Brews concept, which would feature both indoor and outdoor seating.[5] The restaurant is located on the upstairs wing by the Cinemark Century Theater and Kohl's.
The last big addition was Round One. It is an entertainment center that includes bowling, karaoke, arcade games, billiards, darts and ping pong. [6] Round One is a Japanese company that operates in California but is slowly making its way through the United States. It is located on the lower-level Carson Pirie Scott wing. The best entrance would be downstairs by Sears.
