Square Peg Media Ltd (SPM) is a publishing and event management company based in London, England, founded in 2005. SPM currently has a portfolio of five publications and seven separate events, expos and shows.

History of ownership

The company was formed in 2005 by Linda Riley and Sarah Garrett to take over the business of g3 magazine, a publication set up by Garrett in 2001. Originally a free title, g3 is a lifestyle and listings publication for lesbians and bisexual women, which became a paid-for publication available nationally through newsagents in 2012. Since acquiring this title, SPM has added yearly to its publications, events and brand extensions.

Directors

The Managing Directors Linda Riley and Sarah Garrett are co-founders and trustees of the Inclusive Foundation, an independent grant-making organisation providing funds, advice and assistance to charitable and voluntary organisations working in equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK and Europe. Riley is a Patron of the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual young people. She is also a trustee at Eaves, a London-based charity that provides support to vulnerable women who have experienced violence. In addition, she is also the Commercial Director of the European Diversity Conference (Conférence Européenne de la Diversité), which SPM produces, which was held in Paris in April 2013. Riley and Garrett had a civil partnership in 2008 and have two children, which Garrett conceived by in vitro fertilisation. The children are legally adopted by Riley.
