Simon Oliver (priest)

Simon Oliver (2 October 1971) is an Anglican theologian and priest in the Church of England. Formerly Associate Professor of Philosophical Theology at the University of Nottingham.,[1] he is now the Van Mildert Canon Chair at the University of Durham. Oliver is also on staff with the Centre for Theology and Philosophy. Oliver was ordained priest in the diocese of Ely in 1999.[2] He received his PhD at Cambridge University under Catherine Pickstock.[3]

Oliver is a notable member of the theological sensibility known as Radical Orthodoxy. He organised the 2013 Centre for Theology and Philosophy conference: The Soul, held at St Anne's College, Oxford.[4]
