Sikhism in Italy
Sikhs are a religious minority in Italy, which has the second biggest Sikh population in Europe after the United Kingdom. They are estimated to number between 60,000 and 70,000[1] (about 0.12% of the total Italian population). In Vicenza, there are 3,000.[1]
There are about 22 gurdwaras across the country[2] - the oldest one being in Reggio Emilia in northern Italy where many members of the community are engaged in agricultural work.[1]
