Shulamit Nazarian is a contemporary art gallery located in Los Angeles, California.

History

The gallery was established in 2006 by Shulamit Nazarian, the daughter of business mogul Younes Nazarian and sculptor Soraya Nazarian, as a roving art platform.[1][2] It moved into a five-story Modernist beachhouse in October 2012.[3]

Artists in the gallery include Krista Nassi, an Iranian-born, LA-based artist whose work is exhibited at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art;Soraya Sarah Nazarian, Shulamit's Iranian-born mother; David Abir, a Persian-American artist.[1]

The gallery partnered with Fowler Museum at UCLA on an exhibition called "Light and Shadows: The Story of Iranian Jews" in 2012.[3]

The gallery represents Gary Baseman, an American artist; Tal Shochat, an Israeli artist; Pouya Afshar, an Iranian-born, LA-based artist.[3] In 2013, it featured Doni Silver Simons, an American artist and Afshar in an exhibition.[3] In 2014, it exhibited the work of Jonas N.T. Becker, an installation artist.[4]

The gallery exhibited the works of Theodore Boyer And Jake Ziemann in February 2016.[5]
