The Shinnik Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yaroslavl, Russia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Shinnik Yaroslavl. The stadium holds 22,990 people.[2] It was planned on being expanded to 45,000 people in capacity, for the FIFA World Cup 2018, which will be hosted in Russia, but the plans fell through when Yaroslavl didn't make it to the host cities list.[3]
