Notable records

As a team

• The University of Santo Tomas Tigresses holds the record for the most championships in the league with six championships(including a three-peat, a back-to-back, and the inaugural championship), followed by the indefinitely suspended De La Salle University Lady Archers with three V-League crowns, Adamson University Lady Falcons and Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles with two, and San Sebastian College - Recoletos Lady Stags, Philippine Army Lady Troopers, Vietsovpetro and National University having one championship apiece.
• The DLSU Lady Spikers and the UST Tigresses hold the record of the longest championship streak in the league. La Salle had a streak of three championships beating the UST Tigresses in the Finals Series of the two conference of Season 2 and the SSC-R Lady Stags in their last championship in Season 3. The Tigresses recently completed its "3-peat" bid in the league, sweeping the two conferences of Season 6 by beating SSC-R and Adamson respectively, and winning the title in Season 7, 1st Conference by beating for the fourth time in the Finals the Lady Stags.
• The SSC-R Lady Stags is the only team on the league that never skips any conferences in any season of the tournament (except for the ASEAN invitational cup. SSC-R on S9C2 was tagged as Sandugo SSC-R). ADMU Lady Eagles is also one team that never miss any conference in any season of the tournament since their debut in Season 2.
• The AdU Lady Falcons is the only team in the league that never uses foreign athletes as their Guest Players for many seasons of their tenure in the tournament.
• The UST Tigresses was the only team to sweep two season championships. They swept the championships of Season 4, 1st and 2nd conference and Season 6, 1st and 2nd Conference. This was followed by DLSU when they swept Season 2 conferences.
• The SSC-R Lady Stags holds the record of the most number of runner-up finishes. San Sebastian had 6 bridesmaid finishes, the first coming from DLSU in Season 3, four coming from perennial champions UST in S4C1, S4C2, S6C1 and S7C1 and the most recent was against Adamson in S7C2. UST follows this feat with 3 runner-up finishes (2 from DLSU and 1 from SSC-R).
• The UST Tigresses is the only team to not miss the Finals Series whenever the team participates in the league. In the last 16 conferences, UST joined 10 times and was able to enter the Finals in all 10 conferences with a record of 6-4 win-loss. It makes the ranking of the Tigresses in every conference as either the champion or the runner-up and not lower.
• The UST-San Sebastian championship is the most occurring match-up in the league that happened five times already with UST leading the head to head, 4-1. It was followed by the UST-La Salle championship match-up that occurred three times with DLSU in front, 2-1.
• SSC-R players hold the most number of Best Attacker awards of the league. Jaroensri Bualee received this award in S4C2 and S5C1; Rysabelle Devanadera in S5C2 and Laurence Ann Latigay in S6C1. The Lady Stags hold the record of winning the most number of Best Receiver Award. Sisters Mary Jane Pepito (S4C2, S5C1 and S5C2) and Margarita Pepito (S6C1) are responsible for this feat.
• As a team, the SSC-R Lady Stags has the most number of individual awards of all time with 30. Adamson came next with 22. This was followed by UST with 20 and DLSU with 16.
• Teams that simultaneously hold the V-League Crown and the championship in their respective mother leagues include DLSU Lady Archers who held the V-League crown in S2C1,S2C2 and S3C1 while being the 3-time titlists in the UAAP; UST Tigresses who won the V-League plum in S4C1 and S4C2 while being the Season 69 UAAP Champions; and SSC-R Lady Stags who won the V-League S5C2 Championship while holding the NCAA title four times already at that time. Lyceum Lady Pirates, the 10-time consecutive WNCAA champions, and FEU Lady Tamaraws, 29-time UAAP champions are yet to raise the V-League trophy while the Adamson Lady Falcons, V-League champions S5C1 and S7C2, are yet to win their first UAAP crown.
• In 2009-2010, the UST Tigresses achieved "Grand Slam" in Philippine collegiate women's volleyball by winning the Shakey's V-League Season 6, 1st and 2nd Conference by beating SSC-R and Adamson respectively, the 2009 women's volleyball at the nationwide University Games held at Iloilo by defeating the DLSU Lady Spikers in straight sets, and the UAAP Season 72 women's volleyball by sweeping the defending champions, DLSU Lady Spikers, in the Finals.
• ADMU Lady Eagles acquired the most number of Thai Imports as their guest player. Ateneo got the services of Thai guest players Namphon Intuan, Jindarat Kanchana, Lithawat Kesinee, Em-Orn Phanusit, Sontaya Keawbundit, Surasawadee Boonyuen, and Jaroensri Bualee.
• The ADMU Lady Eagles have the most awards of the Best Blocker with 5. Michelle Laborte won three and with Maria Rosario Soriano and Lithawat Kesinee with two.
• The UP Lady Maroons is the only team in history to fail in winning at least a game in a conference. Happened in Season 6, 1st Conference, during their debut in the league, the Lady Maroons failed to win a game despite stretching some games to a five-setter. And this continued until the 2nd conference where they again finished with a 0-8 win-loss card. This makes them the only team who haven't won any game since joining the league.
• The rare elimination sweep, 7-0, was completed both by DLSU and UST in different conferences. The DLSU Lady Archers achieved this feat during Season 3 1st Conference while UST recently swept their opponents in Season 6 2nd Conference.
• During Season 8 Conference 2 or the Open Conference, SSC-R is the first school team to acquire more than 5 Guest player during the conference. The team acquired the help from the following players: Jill Gustilo from AdU Lady Falcons, Janette Doria from RTU, UST alumni player Rubie De Leon, Jeng Bualee from Thailand, Lauren Ford from USA, their alumni libero Mary Jane Pepito and Jennifer Manzano who played for the Philippine Air Force during that same conference.
• The Cagayan Valley Rising Suns is the first team in history to have an immaculate record of 16-0 (undefeated record) en route to the championship by winning the Season 10 Open Conference.

As a player

• Jaroensri Bualee is the most awarded player of the entire league, and also the most decorated import player. She won thirteen awards in the league. She won 6 Best Scorer award, 2 Conference MVP plums, 2 Finals MVP plums, 2 Best Attacker awards, and a Best Digger award being the only non-libero player in the league's history to be awarded.
• Alyssa Valdez is the most decorated local player of the league with 11 awards. Valdez won 3 Conference MVP plums, 2 Finals MVP plums, 4 Best Outside Spiker award, a Best Scorer and a Best Server award. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas ,Mary Jean Balse and Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone are tied for being the 2nd most decorated local player of the league with 9 awards. Maizo-Pontillas won 3 Finals MVP plums, 2 Conference MVP plums, a Best Scorer award, a Best Attacker award, a Best Server award, and a Best Blocker award. Balse won 3 Best Server awards, 2 Conference MVP plums, 2 Best Attacker award, a Finals MVP plum, and a Best Receiver award. Gata-Pantone won 6 Best Digger awards and 2 Best Receiver award and a Best Libero award..
• Mary Jean Balse of the UST Tigresses was the first player to be awarded as the Conference MVP twice that happened in Season 1, 1st Conference in 2004 and Season 6 1st Conference in 2009, aside from the Finals MVP Plum she received in Season 4, 1st Conference in 2007. This feat was immediately achieved by Suzanne Roces as a guest player for SSC-R Lady Stags after winning back-to-back Conference MVP in Season 7, 1st and 2nd Conference together with the Finals MVP award she received in Season 5, 2nd Conference. Lithawat Kesinee achieved the feat after being awarded the Conference MVP in Season 8, 1st Conference aside from the Season 4, 2nd Conference MVP. Jaroensri Bualee achieved this peat as well, when she was awarded as the Conference MVP in Season 4, 1st Conference together with her Conference MVP title from Season 9, 1st Conference. Aleona Denise Santiago is the newly addition in this peat when she was awarded as the Conference MVP in Season 10 1st Conference and Season 11 1st Conference when she was playing for NU. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas also achieved this feat after being awarded as MVP of Season 6, 2nd conference and Season 11, Reinforced Conference.
• Alyssa Valdez was the first player to be awarded as the Conference MVP three times. Valdez won her first Conference MVP in Season 12 Open Conference when she played for PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters. Her second Conference MVP plum was in Season 12 Collegiate Conference and in the recently concluded Season 13 Reinforced Conference, she won her third Conference MVP to be the only player to achieve this feat.
• Aiza Maizo-Pontillas of the UST Tigresses is the first and only player to be awarded both Conference MVP and Finals MVP in the same conference and she achieved this feat twice. She received the MVP plums last Season 6, 2nd Conference and Season 11, Reinforced Conference.
• Aiza Maizo-Pontillas of the UST Tigresses, upon winning the championships of Season 6, 2nd Conference and Season 7, 1st Conference, becomes the only player to win the Finals MVP twice consecutively while Suzanne Roces as a guest player of SSC-R Lady Stags becomes the only player to win the Conference MVP twice consecutively in both conferences of Season 7. Jaroensri Bualee and Rachel Ann Daquis were the other players to be awarded Finals MVP twice. Bualee was awarded Finals MVP in Season 3, 1st Conference and Season 9, 2nd Conference. Daquis got these MVP plums while she was playing for Philippine Army during Season 8, Open Conference and as a guest player for FEU during Season 11, 1st Conference.
• Players that have been awarded both the CONFERENCE MVP and FINALS MVP include UST ace players Mary Jean Balse and Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, SSC-R perennial guest players Jaroensri Bualee and Suzanne Roces, perennial Adamson Guest Player Nerissa Bautista and Philippine Army's ace players Rachel Ann Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga. Ging Balse, the two-time Conference MVP from S1C1 and S6C1, also carries to her pocket the Finals MVP plum from S4C1. Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is the most notable double MVP of S6C2 and back-to-back Finals MVP winning the title twice in a row in S6C2 and S7C1. Jang Bualee, won the Finals MVP in S3C1 and won the Conference MVP the proceeding conference, S4C1. Sue Roces, also once a UST guest player, wins the Finals MVP in the lone championship of SSC-R in S5C2 and back-to-back Conference MVP in the recently concluded S7C1 and S7C2. Nene Bautista was awarded Conference MVP in S5C2 and Finals MVP in S7C2. Daquis was awarded Conference MVP in the recently concluded Season 11 All-Filipino Open Conference and Finals MVP in S8OC and S11C1 when she played as a guest player for FEU. Gonzaga was awarded Conference MVP in S10OC and Finals MVP in S11OC.
• Suzanne Roces and Michelle Carolino are the only guest players who were able to win at least two championships upon playing for two different teams. Sue Roces has three V-League championships; two coming from the back-to-back titles of UST in 2007, and one from the championship of San Sebastian in Season 5, 2nd Conference. Carolino won four crowns; two coming from the back-to-back titles of DLSU in Season 2, and the other from the two championships of UST in Season 6, 1st Conference and Season 7, 1st Conference.
• Jaroensri Bualee holds the record for being the longest tenured Guest Player for a certain team. She is playing for San Sebastian Lady Stags from Season 3 up to present (except S5C2 and S6C2), also the most for any foreign guest player.
• Rubie De Leon and Suzanne Roces are the only players to play for six different teams of the league. De Leon played with UP, SSC-R (as Sandugo SSC-R during S9C2), FEU, AdU, UST and NU. Sue Roces Played with UE, AdU, UST, ADMU, SSC-R and Philippine Navy. League's MVPs Michelle Carolino, Mary Jean Balse and Nerissa Bautista played on 5, 4 and 4 different teams of the league, respectively. Carolino played wiyh CSJL, DLSU, UST, AdU and Philippine Army. Ging Balse played with UST, LPU, Philippine Army and AU. Nene Bautista becomes the Guest Player for AdU, Philippine Navy, UST and AU.
• Relea Ferina Saet of the DLSU Lady Archers holds the most number including the first four Best Setter award. This was followed by Jamenea Ferrer of the ADMU Lady Eagles having 3 consecutive Best Setter award from Shakey's V League 8 Open- Shakey's V League 9 Open and Janet Serafica winning the award in two conferences of Season 5.
• Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone of the AdU Lady Falcons and now of the PLDT Home Telpad Lady Boosters holds the record of the most number of Best Digger awards with 6. This was followed by the three consecutive Best Digger award of Sharmaine Miles Peñano of DLSU. This was also followed by Dennise Michelle Lazaro and Angela Beatrice Dionela having 2 consecutive best digger award respectively.
• Mary Jane Pepito of the SSC-R Lady Stags and Jennylyn Reyes of the NU Lady Bulldogs hold the record of having the most number of Best Receiver award with three.
• Michelle Laborte of the ADMU Lady Eagles and Maureen Penetrante of the DLSU Lady Spikers hold the record for the most number of Best Blocker award with three.
• Cherry Rose Macatangay holds the record of being the Best Scorer for three times consecutively and she accomplished this peat while being a guest player in three different teams (Letran, SSC-R, AdU).
• ADMU guest player Lithawat Kesinee holds the record of winning the most number of awards in one conference. Pinock won three awards during Season 4, 2nd Conference namely Best Scorer, Best Blocker and Conference MVP.
• SSC-R guest player Jaroensri Bualee, former UST Tigresses and now of Philippine Army Lady Troopers Mary Jean Balse ,and former AdU Lady Falcons and now of PLDT Home Telpad Lady Boosters Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone are all tied in the most number of awards with 8 each. Lizlee Ann Gata-Pantone is the only libero in the league history with a total of 8 awards from 6 Best Digger awards and 2 from Best Receiver awards.
• Rhea Katrina Dimaculangan of the UST Tigresses, Jamenea Ferrer of the ADMU Lady Eagles and Rubie De Leon of National University (Guest Player) are the only setter-MVPs of the league. Dimaculangan won both the Best Setter and Finals MVP of the League in Season 6, 1st Conference. Ferrer won the Finals MVP in Season 8, 1st Conference.
• Maureen Penetrante of DLSU, Venus Bernal of UST,Laurence Ann Latigay of SSC-R and Rhea Katrina Dimaculangan of UST are the only players to be named as the Most Valuable Player both in their mother leagues and in the Shakey's V-League at the same time. Penetrante, UAAP Season 67 MVP was named Conference MVP of S2C2, Bernal, the UAAP Season 69 MVP, was named Finals MVP in S4C2, Latigay, NCAA Season 84 (and Season 83) MVP, was awarded Conference MVP in S5C2 while Dimaculangan, SVL S6C1 Finals MVP was awarded UAAP Season 72 Finals MVP.
• Regular players acquired as guest players right after graduation include Mary Anne Manalo of FEU, Dahlia Cruz of LPU, Janet Serafica of AdU, Ma. Rosario Soriano of ADMU, Beverly Boto of LPU, Jinni Mondejar of SSC-R, Mary Jean Balse and Venus Bernal of UST, and Rachel Anne Daquis of FEU.
• Alyja Daphne Santiago holds the record of the youngest player to ever play in Shakey's V-League. She joins NU as Guest Player in Season 7 Conference 2 at the age of 14. She is followed by Patty Orendain of USLS who is the team's Guest Player in Season 5 Conference 1 at the age of 15.
• Alyja Daphne Santiago holds the record of the tallest player so far in the Shakey's V-League as she now stands 6'6.
• Players who won their first championship after playing for another team includes Suzanne Roces, Nerissa Bautista and Michelle Laborte. Roces, as a regular player for UE in S3C1, won her first V-League championship upon playing as a guest player for UST in S4C1 and C2. Bautista, after playing as a guest player for Ateneo in S3C1 and UST in S4C1, received her first championship trophy with Adamson University in S5C1. Laborte, after being the perennial guest player for Ateneo and once a guest player for USLS, won her first ever V-League crown also with Adamson in S7C2.
• Nene Ybañez was the only coach who also plays during the game, or playing coach. Ybañez is the Head Coach for the Philippine Navy Lady Sailors in Season 8 Conference 2 (Open Conference).
• Lauren Ford and Jayde Hair are the only American Guest Players on the League. Hair played for USLS on Season 8 Conference 1, while Ford played for the SSC-R Lady Stags on Season 8 Conference 2.
• Coco Wang is the tallest foreign guest player in the Shakey's V-League. She is from China and stands 6'3,plays for Meralco in Season 10 Open Conference.
• Alyssa Valdez is a player who scored 39 points in their game against Laoag with 29 Attacks, 2 Blocks and 8 Service Aces. Alyssa's awards in the Shakey's V-League are 3 Conference MVP, 2 Finals MVP, 4 1st Best Outside Hitter, Best Scorer and Best Server.

Match statistic records

• Jaroensri Bualee scored 40 points to lead all time in scoring in their win against UST in a Semifinal against UST in Season 9, 1st Conference. Alyssa Valdez scored 39 points from 29 Attacks 2 Blocks 8 Aces in their match against Laoag Power Smashers in Shakeys V League 13th Reinforced Conference. Sontaya Keawbundit scored 38 points in their win against Lyceum in the Best-of-Three Battle for Third series in Season 7, 1st Conference. Angela Benting posted 37 points in a Semi Final game against San Sebastian Lady Stags in Season 6 2nd Conference. This was the highest scoring output by a regular player in league history. Mary Jean Balse as a guest player for Lyceum Lady Pirates scored 37 points to tie Angela during their Quarterfinal match against ADMU in Season 7, 2nd Conference, and this makes her the highest scoring local guest player.
• The most lopsided game in the history of the league was the win of Ateneo de Manila University over Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the elimination rounds of the 4th Season, 2nd Conference of the league. 25-8, 25-9, 25-7 was the score totalling to 75-24. Letran was unable to score in double digit in any of the set and the total points was not even enough to win a set. Ma. Rosario Soriano led the Lady Eagles in the win.
• The most contested set in a game happened in the 4th set of the elimination match between Ateneo de Manila University and San Sebastian College-Recoletos in Season 4, 1st Conference. The score was 34-32 in the 4th set in favor of SSC-R who won the match by winning this set. Same fate happened on Season 8 Conference 2 (Open Conference) during the semifinal match between SSC-R Lady Stags and Philippine Navy, where the 2nd Set score is also contested at 34-32, SSC-R won that set.
• The most contested 5-setter game in terms of points in the fifth set was the elimination match between UPHSD Lady Altas and the Maynilad Water Dragons in Season 8 Conference 2 (Open Conference). Maynilad won that game with the 5th set score of 30-28, doubling the standard score for 5th set (15pts).
• The longest set drought between two champion teams was 11 consecutive sets lost by the De La Salle University to the University of Santo Tomas that stretches from the second set of their elimination match up in Season 4, 1st Conference, which UST won in 4 sets, losing only the first set, then followed by their semifinal clash in the same conference which UST won in straight sets, then crossed over to their elimination match in Season 4, 2nd Conference, which UST won in 3 sets, tallying to 9 consecutive sets won by UST. In their semifinal match in the said conference, UST took the first two sets which accumulates the total consecutive sets won over La Salle to 11. The game finished when La Salle took sets 3 and 4 but eventually losing set 5.
• The longest losing streak between two champion teams was 8 consecutive matches lost by Adamson University to the University of Santo Tomas. In Season 5, 2nd Conference, in their Semifinals Series, Adamson took Game 1. However, UST took Game 2 and 3 which started their winning streak over Adamson. It continued to Season 6, 1st Conference where UST took both of their matches in the elimination and quarterfinal rounds, tallying to 4 consecutive games. In Season 6, 2nd Conference, Adamson lost all its 4 games against UST, all in 4 sets, which includes the elimination, quarterfinal and the two games in their Finals Series, which tallies the consecutive wins of UST against AdU to 8. In Season 7, 1st Conference, UST and Adamson did not meet each other because of the bracket distribution and the output of the team standings. Thus, the losing streak of Adamson continues. This feat was followed by DLSU winning 7 consecutive games against SSC-R stretching from the inaugural conference of the league and was ended when the Lady Stags beat for the first time the Lady Archers in the 2nd round of elimination in Season 2, 2nd Conference.
• The most lopsided set in history of the league when Arellano Lady Chiefs had won against UB Lady Brahmans during the preliminary round of the Season 12 Collegiate Conference. Lady Chiefs scored 25-4 against the Lady Brahmans. The set scores as follows: 25-4, 25-23, 25-15. The score totaled 75-43 in favor in the Lady Chiefs. The university's middle blocker, Christine Joy Rosario led the Lady Chiefs a victory.
