Science of Success (magazine)

Science of Success was an Iranian quarterly magazine on social, political, cultural and artistic matters which has been publishing between 2003 and 2008 in Tehran; before its license being revoked by the Press Supervisory Board in 2008.

Policy

Science of Success was a magazine used to be published between 2003 and 2008, first as monthly then quarterly. It was focused on social, political, cultural and artistic topics. This magazine was managed by some members of Science of Success Institution (one of the NGO’s affiliated to the Elyasin Community.[1]

The main purpose of the magazine was to increase the public awareness as well as providing a base for training some success methods based on Fattahi’s teachings [2] However, its license was revoked by the Press Supervisory Board in 2008.

Editorial Board

The concessionaire and manager in–charge of the magazine was Farangis Kazemi.[3] Its chief editors have respectively been Hamidreza Hemati,[4] Roxana Khushabi,[5] Fatemeh Zandi,[6] and Maryam Maddah [7]

Reasons for License Revocation

In 2008, the Press Supervisory Board located in Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran revoked the magazine’s license on a charge of ”breaching the Iranian constitution”. Although, according to the magazine’s authorities, this was an unreal allegation and the true reason for that license revocation was the connection of the magazines with Elia M (Peyman Fattahi) and Elyasin Community as well as a number of published articles in field of marriage and creative speech written based on Elia’s teachings.   1. Elyasin Community is a non-governmental organization which has been established in 1991. It’s mainly active in cultural- spiritual matters and its members are the students, devotees and followers of Master Elia M. Ramollah (Peyman Fattahi). Elyasin consists of a number of satellite NGO’s and publishing houses. There are some other magazines affiliated to Elyasin Community such as The Art of Transcendental Life, Art of Living, Esoteric Knowledge, Sublime Thinking, Motivators, and Children News as well, most of which have been shut down or forced to keep a low profile due to the pressures of Iranian Security Service.

Master Elia (Peyman Fattahi) is the founder and leader of Elyasin Community who was arrested twice (between 2007-2009) by Iranian Security Service due to his ideological inconsistency with Iranian government. He spent 12 months in solitary confinement at 209 security ward of Evin prison then released on a heavy bail in Summer 2009 but he has been forbidden to have any public speech or training session ever since. His teachings are generally focused on subjects such as Divine Presence in the world, revelation of love for the Lord, reviving the spirit, inner evolution, Alive light, Divine guidance and transcendental living. One of the most pivotal branches of Elia’s teachings is called XZY or 36 Methods of Sublime Thinking in which, methods such as Creative Thinking, conceptualizer thinking, foresighter thinking, symmetrizing and ultra-viewing could be noted as well as some novel decision making methods.
  3. Farangis Kazemi, PhD in Psychology. She is a member of the faculty of Allameh Tabatabai University
  4. Hamidreza Hemati, Master Degree in Education from Andrews University. He was Chief Manager of [Professional Management Research Group http://www.pmrg.ir/portal/]. He has also been the author of three books named “God’s Voice”, “Thinking and its Methods”, and “Sustainable Management”.
  5. Roxana Khushabi, Master degree in Consultant. She is a concessionaire and manager in – charge of the Art of Transcendental Living magazine as well as chief editor and author of the Science of Success magazine. She has also been the author of two books named “Creative Words” and “The Unique One”.
  6. Chief editor of Science of Success magazine as well as the author of a book named "Women and Men; superiority or equality."
  7. Translator and author in several magazines such as Motivators,Sublime Thinking and Science of Success.
