SaudiGulf Airlines is a new carrier located in Dammam, planning to commence domestic services in Saudi Arabia on October 2016 with a fleet of four Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline was planning to launch in 1Q 2015 but has encountered regulatory delays with Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation. SaudiGulf is owned by the Al Qahtani Group and became the country's fourth domestic carrier, after Saudia , flynas , and Nesma Airlines.
History
SaudiGulf Airlines was established in 2013 by Abdel Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani & Sons Group of Companies, a Saudi consortium of privately owned businesses.[1][2] The airline received its air operator's certificate on 22 June 2016.[3] It launched operations on 29 October 2016 with twice daily flights between Dammam and Riyadh.[4]
