The sand-coloured nighthawk (Chordeiles rupestris) is a species of nightjar in the Caprimulgidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, and heavily degraded former forest.
