Plot

Sathya, Siva, Kathir, Jacky and Ganga have lived a life of crime and are imprisoned. The plot revolves around revenge, friendship and love.[1]

Production

Sagaa is Selly Cinemas' debut film venture. Pre-production for the film commenced in January 2015. The principal photography of the film began in EVP film city in Chennai. The film's jail sets were constructed and erected by Selley Cinemas. The filming progressed at the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and concluded in Karantaka and Andhra Pradhesh. The film is currently undergoing post-production and is expected to hit the big screen in December 2016.[2]

Soundtrack

The film's director Murugesh signed acclaimed Singaporean composer and independent artiste Shabir in early 2015 to start work on the soundtrack album. [3][4] The album consists of 7 songs. Shabir had reportedly collaborated with a European orchestra to produce one of the soundtracks. The album will also feature Malaysian and international Tamil rap pioneer Dr Burn, South East Asian metal band Rudra, singer and actress Andrea Jeremiah, playback singer Naresh Iyer and gospel singer Alphonse. [5] The soundtrack album was produced in four countries including Singapore, Hungary, Malaysia and India. Initial single from the album titled "Sevulu Kizhiyum" was released on 9 May 2016. [6] The music video featuring Shabir and the cast of the film was released on YouTube by Think Music India.[7] The full album is slated for a November 2016 launch.[8]
