Rozanna Purcell (born September 3, 1990) is an Irish model, chef(me hole), charity worker and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Ireland 2010 and represented Ireland at Miss Universe 2010 in USA where she placed Top 10.
Miss Universe
Rozanna Purcell competed in Miss Universe Ireland 2009 and was 1st Runner-up to Diana Donnelly. The following year, 2010, Purcell became the first Miss Universe Ireland to place since 1998, after being called among the Top 15. Purcell competed in the swimsuit segment and placed 4th with an average score of 8.784. Purcell then competed in evening gown with a score of 8.548. Despite being confirmed as a favourite of Pageant Experts and Blogs across the globe to become Ireland's first Miss Universe, Purcell failed to advance to the Top 5, finishing in 7th place.[1]
After Miss Universe
Purcell was offered a contract with Trump Model Management after the Miss Universe 2010 competition ended, and was offered additional contracts in Mexico and Colombia.[1] She was then invited to judge at the Miss Venezuela 2010 pageant. She later joined her mentor Andrea Roche's modeling agency in Ireland.[2]
She has talked of her difficulties at temperatures of minus 25C on Kilimanjaro.[3]
She was a judge at Miss Universe Ireland 2012.[4]
She published her first cookbook Natural Born Feeder in January of 2016.
Television work
She won Come Dine With Me (Ireland) on TV3 in 2012.[5]
She participated in Celebrity Bainisteoir on RTÉ in 2012. She managed Newtown Cashel, in Longford.[6]
She has modeled extensively for Newbridge Silverware and is one of the faces of Newbridge Silverware.[7]
In February 2015 She appeared as the guest Celebrity Chef on TV3’s The Restaurant.[8]
Charity work
She has worked with the Children's Hospital of Puerto Rico.[9]
She has also helped to raise awareness and funds for the Irish Cancer Society's 'Get Active For 2015' campaign.[10]
Personal life
Purcell was dating Irish musician Niall Breslin since 2013 although they announced the relationship had ended in April 2016.[11] In October 2013 she started her own food blog naturalbornfeeder.com and plans to publish her first cookbook in December 2015.[12]
